Quiet through Tuesday with storms increasing Wednesday-Saturday

After a quiet weather pattern through Tuesday night, spotty storms will develop late after 1AM early on Wednesday morning north of -70 and west of US 63. Storms will become more numerous in the afternoon. Rain amounts during the day on Wednesday look to range from 0.10″ to 0.40″. The rain chance Wednesday looks to come to an end by 8PM-10PM.

There will be a lot of dry time during the day Thursday. Rain and storms will increase on Thursday night and continue through much of Friday. Friday night will bring heavy rain into Saturday morning. Rain amounts from Thursday through Saturday will range from 1″ to 3″ with the highest near Warsaw. Columbia and Jefferson City could reach 2.5″ by Saturday noon.

It looks like Saturday afternoon we’ll dry out with falling temperatures. If this system slows down we’ll keep an eye on possible higher totals, and this would also mean more rain into Saturday night. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
