Boil advisory issued for parts of Sturgeon
Several parts of Sturgeon are now under a boil advisory.
On Friday night, city officials informed ABC 17 News it mostly impacts the east and southeast parts of Sturgeon until Tuesday, May 16, or until further notice.
The city did not provide what caused the advisory to be issued.
The following streets are impacted by the advisory:
Davis Street West Wentz Street to Ogden Street All of East Patton Street East McDowell Street East Burks Street East Canada Street All of South Ogden Street South Ruby Street South Rollins Street South Hicks Street
Some customers may want to use the following recommendations:
Boil water for three minutes prior to use. Use only boiled water for drinking, brushing teeth, diluting fruit juices and all other food preparations or consumption. Use of bottled water may be feasible alternative to boiling tap water when under a boil advisory. Do not use ice from household automatic ice maker or use any ice made with unboiled water. Remake ice cubes with water that has been boiled or buy ice. Disinfect dishes and other food contact surfaces by immersion for at least one minute in clean tap water that contains one teaspoon of unscented household bleach per gallon of water. Let water cool before drinking.
