Last day of the Missouri legislative session

On Friday, lawmakers will head into the Capitol for the final day of the legislative session.

One item for debate is if lawmakers should avoid cuts to personal care for seniors. If there is a cut, more than 8,000 seniors and disabled people would be affected.

Other items on the agenda include some of Governor Eric Greitens priorities, including, creating a prescription drug tracking database, enhancing penalties for crimes against police and the Blue Alert System.

The Senate did pass the Blue Alert System on Thursday.

Late on Thursday night, lawmakers passed a bill establishing Real I.D. compliant licenses. It would help Missouri residents get valid I.D.’s to board airplanes next year.

Lawmakers are expected to adjourn around 6 tonight.
