Storm chances Wednesday- Thursday

TONIGHT: Look for a partly cloudy to mostly cloudy sky with lows only dipping to the mid 60s and winds from the southwest under 8 mph.

WEDNESDAY: We will have an increasing chance of showers and t-storms with a few possible by mid-morning but most holding off until afternoon. Afternoon storms will be most numerous north of I-70 and spotty south. There is a chance a few could become severe with main threats large hail and isolated damaging wind. High temperatures will reach near 80 under mostly cloudy skies and south winds up to 15 mph.

EXTENDED: Scattered showers and t-storms are likely Wednesday night, ending by early Thursday morning. More storms are likely Thursday afternoon, developing in a line near I-70 and slowly moving south with a slow moving cold front. Rain amounts look to range from 0.50″ in northeast Mid-Missouri to up to 1.50″ in southwest Mid-Missouri. Rain will likely move out by early Friday morning near I-44, leaving us dry as we head into the weekend. High temperatures will stay in the low 70s Thursday and Friday, warming into the upper 70s to near 80 this weekend with a warm, dry Mother’s Day.
