Columbia Star Dinner Train ordered to pay money owed to state, customers

The Columbia Star Dinner Train has been ordered to pay $2259.01 after shutting down operations in Sept. of 2014.

The Columbia Star Dinner Train sold vouchers to customers after they stopped operating. In Dec. 2014, the City of Columbia ended their contract with the train. Many customers never got their money back.

The Boone County court made their final judgment Monday. The train will have to pay $1144.55 to the Merchandising Practices Restitution Fund, which will go towards paying the customers back. Of the remaining amount of money owed, $1000 will go to the State of Missouri and $114.46 will go to the Merchandising Practices Revolving Fund.
