Deputies: Boone County resident struck during armed home invasion

Boone County deputies responded to a report of a home invasion with a gun at the 11000 block of I-70 Drive Northeast around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies said that two black males hid their faces while they forced inside the residence, and demanded money, armed with handguns.

Deputies said a resident at the home was struck by one of the intruders.

Deputies said the intruders stole firearms from the home and then fled the scene using the resident’s vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
