MODOT to replace street lights on Missouri River Bridge

The eastbound lanes of the Missouri River Bridge in Jefferson City are scheduled to shut down for a few hours on Monday.

MODOT crews are replacing the bridge’s current street lights for more energy efficient ones.

The work is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m and end at 1:00 p.m.

Crews will first close the right lane and then the left lane on the bridge. The Main Street ramp will also be closed during the work.

This could cause some traffic delays so drivers should leave a few minutes earlier.

LED lights were already placed on the westbound lanes of the bridge when it was closed for painting last year.

This will all depend on weather. If there is a change of plans ABC 17 crews will let you know.
