UPDATE: 12-year-old Apple Briscoe missing from Blue Springs found safe.

UPDATE (3:20 p.m.): The Amber Alert has been canceled. Briscoe was found safe.

ORIGINAL: The Blue Springs Police Department issued an Amber Alert for an abduction that occurred at 2514 NW 6th Street around 11:21 p.m. Saturday.

Police said Apple Briscoe, 12, may have been abducted by William L. Dela Cruz, 22, last seen in a Silver 2015 Nissan Versa with Maryland license plates reading 6CK5071.

Briscoe is described as a white female with brown hair and green eyes, standing at a height of of 5 feet 3 inches tall.

Dela Cruz is described as an Asian male, with brown hair and brown eyes, standing at a height of 5 feet 10 inches.

Police said Briscoe met Dela Cruz online and was last seen getting into his car at 11:21 p.m. Saturday and has not been heard from since.

Anyone who has seen the abducted child, suspect or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the Amber Alert should immediately call 911 or contact the Blue Springs Police Department at 816-228-0152.
