Two sent to hospital after three vehicle crash in Fulton

Two people were sent to the hospital after a three car crash at the intersection of State Route C and Tennyson Rd.

A 30-year-old female and her two children were driving southbound on State Route C in a blue 2005 Dodge Durango, as a 29-year-old female was traveling northbound on State Route C in a red 2016 Ford Escape.

The Ford Escape began to turn left onto westbound Tennyson Road and pulled into the path of the Dodge Durango, causing a head-on collision. After the two vehicles crashed, a black 2015 Nissan Altima, driven by a 36-year-old female and one child, which was also traveling northbound on State Route C, struck the red Ford Escape.

The driver of the Dodge Durango was taken to University Hospital by the Staff for Life Helicopter, and one of her children was taken by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Her other child was not hurt and was released to a family member.

The driver of the black Nissan Altima was also taken to the hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Her child did not appear to be injured and was released to a family member.

The driver of the red Ford Escape was checked on scene by medics and refused treatment.

The children were between the ages of 2 and 5.

The Fulton police said that drugs, alcohol and excessive speed are not believed to be contributing factors.
