Two men charged in FBI raid in Columbia released on bond

The two men charged in a FBI raid in Columbia have been released on bond.

The Western District of Missouri Public Affair officer, Don Ledford, confirmed to ABC 17 News that Barry Manthe and Ronald Clark were released on bond after a preliminary and detention hearing held Tuesday.

ABC 17 News was told the court order that lays out the conditions for their release and bond amount would be done by the clerk’s office. At last check, nothing has been posted.

You might recall last Friday the two men were charged in federal court, accused of promoting prostitution online.

Court documents show that both men are charged with use of interstate commerce, naming the internet, in aid of racketeering enterprise between June 23, 2016 and June 29, 2016.

According to the documents, Manthe paid for escort advertisements on Backpage for “the prostitutes utilizing the brothel” and Clark collected a $20 “door fee” for the use of the brothel.
