Enhanced risk of storms through Wednesday Evening

It could be an active night across Mid-Missouri, as storms are expected to track into the region. Ahead of the storms a tornado watch has already been issued for parts of Mid-Missouri.

Those counties include: Benton, Camden, Miller, Morgan, Pettis, and Pulaski until 11 pm this evening.

As storms track in from the south, they bring the potential of large hail up 2″ in diameter and damaging winds. The greatest threat for these storms lies along and south of I-70, but a few severe storms are still likely north of 70.

The enhanced threat centered over the Lake of the Ozarks has the greatest threat for severe storms later this evening. In addition to severe weather, localized flooding is likely where heavier rain amounts accumulate.
