Wintry Mix Monday Morning

TODAY: The wintry mix will continue east of US 63 for the morning commute. There is a chance near HWY 24 we will have an additional mix continue through 12PM. Additional light rain is possible in the afternoon hours for those from US 63 and east before the rain chance ends between 5PM and 7PM east of HWY 54. Rain amounts will range from 0.10″ to 0.30″. While the air temperature will likely stay above freezing for most locations, slick spots will be possible on overpasses and bridges this morning. The ground looks to be too warm for ice or refreezing to occur. Temperatures today will top the low 40s with winds becoming northerly gusting upwards to 24 mph.

TONIGHT: It looks to stay mostly cloudy with winds becoming light under 10 mph by 11PM. Overnight lows will dip 10 degrees colder in the mid 20s with a wind chill falling to 16-18 by Tuesday morning.

EXTENDED: Scattered clouds look to persist through Tuesday with temperatures in the upper 30s. It looks to be dry Tuesday through Thursday afternoon with temperatures in the low 40s this week. Rain returns by Friday morning. Friday afternoon may bring a few storms in southeast Mid-Missouri south of the Missouri River.
