Storm Reports from Tuesday Night in Mid-Missouri and the Tornado Signature in SE Missouri

Dozens of hail reports occurred overnight with half dollar size hail reported in Randolph county and Pettis county in Sedalia and Green Ridge. the largest hailstones were reported in Benton county near Warsaw where golfball size hail was reported. Columbia had a confirmed report of quarter size hail. Measured wind gusts occurred in Osage Beach of 50-55 mph. There looks to be two wind damage reports in Mid-Missouri, one in southern Camden county in the city of Wet Glaize where a garage was reported blown apart, and in Pulaski county of HWY 28 a tree was reported to be blocking the road there. Here is a list of reports.

We finally picked up on some decent rain that we desperately needed. Columbia Regional picked up 0.62″ overnight, Jefferson City came in at 0.41″, Sedalia picked up 0.63″, Rolla had 0.16″, and the Lake of the Ozarks came in at 0.26″.

Mid-Missouri lucked out on the wind and hail damage. Tornadoes swept through southeastern Missouri in Perry county overnight causing at least 2 deaths and injuring 10 people. For additional weather updates please follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter and like us on Facebook ABC17News.
