Tracking dry and mild weather ahead of late week storm chances

TODAY: Tuesday is another summer-like day with highs in the 80s under sunny skies. Dewpoints will be similar, if not just a degree or two cooler. Expect similar humidity to what you felt on Monday. Winds are light and variable as surface high pressure slides through the region.

TONIGHT: Skies remain clear overnight. Temperatures fall back into the 60s overnight.

EXTENDED: Surface high pressure shifts east, returning our winds from the south. South winds and sunshine return our highs into the upper 80s on Wednesday. Low pressure works in from the west, bringing a nearly stationary front to the region on Thursday. Winds will amplify warmth through the day. Temperatures may reach the 90s with enough humidity to feel like the upper 90s. This boundary will slowly drop south through Thursday into Friday, bringing chances for storms Thursday evening and again on Friday. While shower chances may linger Saturday, drier conditions are forecast into early next week, with negligible rain chances expected.
