On Thursday, a Columbia man was charged after being accused of holding a knife to another man’s throat.

The crime allegedly happened in the afternoon in the 1000 block of E. Broadway. The victim said Cody McCracken walked up behind him and put the knife to his throat. He went on to say McCracken told him he was on pills and could do as he pleased. McCracken then punched him and left.

Police said the victim had a bloody nose when they arrived.
