Rain chance Thursday, cool & windy Friday
The warm weather pattern continues for one more day before we cool down Friday. A warm front will lift north across the area Thursday, possibly producing a few spot showers north of I-70 from mid-morning to early afternoon. Any rain would be light, under a tenth of an inch. Temperatures will still be mild Thursday, reaching the upper 60s north of I-70 to the mid 70s in the Ozarks.
As the warm front moves into northern Missouri Thursday evening, a few t-storms are possible but at this time it looks like they will develop along and north of HWY 36. If the front slows down, these could develop farther south.
As the storm system moves east, westerly winds will increase and temperatures will fall into the 50s Friday afternoon. Winds will become gusty Friday afternoon, gusting as high as 35 mph. The wind continues into Saturday morning before diminishing.
