Sunday evening, February 19
TODAY: Clouds will begin to develop by the early evening hours creating for partly cloudy skies. This will help lead to a chance for rain showers through the overnight hours. Temperatures by this evening will remain mild in the upper 50s. There will be a slight breeze out of the southeast at 9 mph.
MONDAY: Rain will move into Mid-Missouri early Monday morning with the chance continuing for the entire day. This rain event will be widespread and also holds the possibility for a few thunderstorms. Rain accumulation could reach around 1/10″ to 1/4″ with localized areas receiving potentially 1/2″. The daytime high temperature will climb into the 70s and by the evening will only dip into the 60s. The rain will move farther off to the east by the evening hours as areas south of I-70 and east of US 63 will see a better chance for that evening rain.
EXTENDED: Sunny weather returns by Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures still reaching into the 70s. The mild weather lasts through most of next week but the weather pattern looks like it will change toward the end of February. Another rain chance does exist for Thursday through Saturday. We also expect cooler air to move in by next weekend following a cold front. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
