Multiple people taken into custody after high-speed chase

Multiple people were taken into custody Sunday afternoon following a high-speed chase that ended in Fulton.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says the chase went into three different counties Sunday starting with a Lake Ozark sergeant trying to pull over the car.

The car continued to head east on Highway 54. Multiple agencies attempted to stop the car, but the driver continued to speed through the area.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper stationed near Route BB, near County Road 484. The trooper attempted to pull the car over but the driver still kept going.

Once the car entered into Fulton city limits, Fulton Police laid down spike strips at Route H. The driver hit the strips but continued to drive.

The chase eventually ended at the Fast Lane Gas Station in Fulton.

Sgt. Scott White with the Highway Patrol, says at this time he doesn’t know what prompted the pursuit.
