Friday Morning, January 27

TODAY: This morning, clouds are holding steady in Mid-Missouri, with lows in the low to mid 20s. Winds are still steady out of the west upwards of 10 mph, making for a chilling Friday morning. Wind chill values are in the teens and will stay there through at least the afternoon. Clouds will decrease and we’ll see some sunshine but it will still be cold. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 30s with a northwesterly breeze at 10-15 mph, gusting to 20 at times. There could be a few brief flurries through the morning hours, but no accumulation expected.

TONIGHT: After spending the day with some sunshine, expect clouds to build back into the region ahead of an advancing upper level disturbance. This disturbance will keep us on the dry side, just expect to see clouds once more. Lows will bottom out once more in the mid 20s, with wind chill readings in the teens.

EXTENDED: This weekend, we’ll see some sunshine early in the day Saturday but clouds increase with a chance of snow flurries. It continues to be cold with high temperatures in the upper 30s to near 40. Skies remain mostly cloudy Sunday with high temperatures in the mid 30s and a chance of snow flurries or brief light snow showers. At this time, no snow accumulation is expected. We’ll start warming up Monday into Tuesday as high temperatures jump into the 40s with partly cloudy skies. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
