Two arrested after shooting a BB gun at women and car
On Tuesday, Mexico Public Safety was called to Industrial Drive regarding a vehicle that had been damaged by a BB gun the previous night.
At 1:12 p.m., officers were called to SSM Health/St. Mary’s Hospital in Audrain because of a woman seeking medical treatment for being shot by a BB gun during the previous evening.
At 3:42 p.m., officers were called to Webster Drive for a girl being shot by a BB gun. Witness information led to the location of the suspects in the 1000 block of Mansfield at 4:31p.m. The suspects were in possession of a CO2 powered BB gun, a .22 caliber revolver and a .22 caliber rifle.
Tyler TE Wine,17, of Mexico, was taken to the Audrain County Jail for two counts of third degree assault. A 16 year-old male juvenile was turned over to the 12th Circuit Court Juvenile Division for two counts of the unlawful use of weapon.
Neither of the people shot with the BB gun suffered serious injuries.
