Cooper County sheriff’s office looking for man who robbed truck stop with knife

The Cooper County Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigating an armed robbery with a knife. The sheriff’s office posted on it’s Facebook page about the robbery early Wednesday morning. It says the robbery happened just before 7:30 Tuesday night at the Dogwood Truck Stop. That’s at the junction of I-70 and Highway 135. Authorities say a man went into the convenience store armed with a knife and wearing a ski mask. He then apparently threatened the clerk, forced her to give up cash and ran off before deputies arrived. The sheriff’s office is now asking anyone who might have seen a suspicious person or vehicle in the area at that time to call them.
