Traffic alert: Crash on I-70 eastbound, west of Columbia impacting traffic

A crash is causing traffic to back up on I-70 eastbound, west of Columbia right now.

It happened just after 6:00 Thursday morning near Perche Creek.

Our ABC 17 News crews say that a truck is blocking the right lane of traffic and that the truck has heavy front end damage.

Right now at least seven emergency units are on the scene.

Boone County EMA sent an alert out about the crash around 6:30am advising drivers to use caution and avoid the area if possible.

Our ABC 17 News crews are on the scene working to find out if anyone was hurt and if slick conditions are to blame for the crash.
