There may be one thing you got this holiday season worse than that ugly sweater from aunt Sue… germs! Local doctors say mid-Missourians were sharing more than just holiday cheer this year. The doctors at Broadway Urgent Care and Mizzou Quick Cares and Urgent Care say they are busy this week. They are seeing more cases of the flu, both type A and B, among those of us who live here and visiting relatives. Respiratory illness are also hitting hard especially among younger children. It is causing a wheezing cough that is sometimes getting severe enough that hospitalization is required. Bronchitis and pneumonia are sending patients to their doctor and the health professionals are still seeing cases of mumps.
