Monday Evening, January 2 Weather
TONIGHT: It will stay cloudy and mild with drizzle and fog. Visibilities could drop below a quarter mile due to fog. Low temperatures will drop to near 40 north of I-70 and into the mid 40s south with light southeasterly winds shifting to the north by daybreak.
TUESDAY: Light showers are possible in the morning as a cold front moves through with temperatures starting off in the mid 40s, falling into the 30s in the afternoon as colder air arrives with northerly winds up to 15 mph. Clouds will break up through the afternoon.
EXTENDED: It will be bitterly cold Wednesday morning with the temperature near 15 degrees and single digit wind chills. Daytime highs will remain below freezing for the rest of the week and into the weekend with the morning lows in the teens and daytime highs in the 20s to near 30. We’re keeping an eye on a chance of light snow returning by Wednesday night and Thursday morning. If the snow develops, it would be very light with only a dusting. There is also a chance of snow Friday night into Saturday. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
