St. Robert man arrested for shooting gun outside vehicle window

At 1:27 this morning, Boone County Deputies responded to the 7500 block of St.Charles Road for a report of shots fired. The reporting party saw a vehicle stopped in the roadway, blocking the eastbound lane. When the reporting party attempted to pass the stopped vehicle. Before they passed the vehicle, they saw a gun come out of the driver’s side window of the stopped vehicle and shoot across the roadway towards the north.

The reporting party saw 38-year-old Luke M. Colyer of St. Robert exit his vehicle and approach them. The reporting party reversed away from Colyer.

When deputies arrived, they contacted Colyer and took him into custody without incident. A firearm was recovered from his vehicle.

Colyer was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon, third degree assault, driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended and the unlawful use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
