Huge reduction of crashes from Friday to Saturday

The Missouri State Highway Patrol told ABC 17 News that one reason there weren’t as many crashes on Saturday as there were on Friday is because people stayed home and tried not to drive anywhere.

Sergeant Scott White with Troop F said people were caught off-guard from the road conditions on Friday.

White also acknowledged the amount of work MoDot and Public Works crews did all day Friday and Saturday.

According to online arrest reports from MSHP, there were no DUI arrests made in Troop F’s area on Friday or Saturday. White said that during the winter when people don’t drive as much, people don’t drink and drive as much, either.
