Man identified in Boone County chase

UPDATE: The Boone County Sheriffs Department has released the name of the man involved in the overnight chase.

William Stockwell is in custody after failing to stop for authorities.

Stockwell was arrested for charges of three failure to appear warrants, resisting arrest, among others.

His bond has yet to be set.

ORIGINAL: A chase through Boone County ended with one person in custody Monday night.

The pursuit by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department moved throughout the county and ended in the 7000 block of Kircher Road. It was there, the Sheriff’s Department confirmed, that the suspect ran from the vehicle, but was quickly caught.

The Sheriff’s Department said it would release more information later, but did confirm it was a felony arrest.
