Woman ejected from car in Cole County crash, cited on suspicion of drunk driving

A St. Thomas woman was flown to University Hospital early Sunday after crashing on Route B in Cole County.

The crash happened just south of Wild Cherry Lane around 3:10 a.m

The Highway Patrol said the driver, Michelle Collier, 47, drove off the right side of the road, overturned her car and was ejected from it.

She was flown to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to the crash report, Collier was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Troopers cited Collier on suspicion of DWI and not wearing a seat belt.
