Columbia man arrested for drunken driving stolen roofing company truck
UPDATE 12/12: Miller’s BAC was at .22, and the damages to the Jeep and the light pole are estimated to be $2,000. When the officer located Miller behind Moser’s Foods after the incidents, Miller claimed that he did not know what happened.
ORIGINAL STORY: Fulton police arrested a Columbia man on Sunday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in a stolen truck.
30-year-old Travis Ray Miller was driving a large roofing company truck that veered off the roadway into a parking lot at 2020 N. Bluff Road.
Police said the truck hit an unoccupied Jeep Grand Cherokee, severely damaging it. Miller also hit a light pole in the parking lot.
Miller drove the truck away and ended up behind some businesses nearby where he was arrested by the officers.
Miller had allegedly stolen the truck from a Columbia business.
Miller was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, driving with a suspended license and tampering.
No one was injured.
