13 vehicles involved in crashes on Highway 50

Multiple vehicles were involved in crashes along Highway 50 Tuesday night.

The Jefferson City Police Department said the first crash happened just after 5:20 p.m. in the westbound 3500 block.

According to police, this crash led to five more crashes due to lanes being blocked.

In total, 13 vehicles were involved. The highway closed down to one lane for about two hours while crews responded and cleaned up the area.

None of the crashes involved injuries.
