UPDATE: Columbia woman strikes 10 parked cars while driving under the influence

UPDATE 11/28: Leonard has officially been charged with leaving the scene of a vehicle accident and driving under the influence. Leonard’s blood alcohol content was 0.263 the night of Oct. 30, which is when the accident occurred. The damages from the accident are estimated to be over $10,000.

ORIGINAL STORY: Officers were dispatched to University Avenue and William Street on Sunday because of an intoxicated driver who was accused of leaving the scene of an accident.

Mackenzie Sian Leonard struck ten parked vehicles and left the scene. Leonard also drove through two yards. Officers found Leonard and her vehicle at Anthony Street and Ann Street.

Officers could smell alcohol coming from Leonard. She was arrested for driving while intoxicated leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
