Monday Afternoon, November 28

TODAY: Temperatures this afternoon are unseasonably warm thanks to be on the warm side of a cold front. This frontal boundary is providing some much needed rainfall to Mid-Missouri, with the heaviest falling near the I-44 corridor. Wave one of rain came through this morning and wave two is expected to sweep through in the next few hours. The best chance for the second wave of rain will be in the afternoon for areas along and east of I-44. Anywhere from 0.1″ to 0.5″ can be expected for the southeast portion of our viewing area. The high temperature is expected to reach the upper 50s. Winds will also persist strong and out of the south at 10-15 mph with gusts reaching as high as 30 mph.

TONIGHT: Clouds look to stay with us for much of the evening. Storms will be exiting east of US 63 through 7PM tonight with clouds breaking late. Temperatures will fall colder tonight to the low 40s with a southerly wind under 8 mph.

EXTENDED: Colder air moves in by Tuesday with highs maxing out at 55 degrees. Dry conditions, sunny skies, and colder temperatures are expected for the rest of the week. Midweek looks to be colder with highs on Wednesday in the mid 40s. As of now, adding in the a slight chance for rain and storms possible this weekend.
