Arrest made after high-speed two-county chase

Maries County deputies have arrested Alex Lange after he led authorities on a high-speed chase through two counties.

Deputies said Lange was driving a stolen motorcycle during the chase, which started on Highway C near Belle. Speeds during the chase reached up to 100 mph.

Eventually, the chase entered Gasconade County. Deputies said Lange wrecked the motorcycle after traveling onto a county road. After the wreck, Lange tried to escape the deputies and ran into the woods where he was eventually taken into custody.

Deputies said Lange has several felony warrants out for his arrest and his now facing more charges.

He is being held in the Maries County Jail with no bond.
