UPDATE: Belle man captured after fleeing from deputies

UPDATE (9:19 p.m): Colin Maxey was found and taken into custody later Thursday night.

ORGINIAL: The Maries County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who fled from deputies Thursday night.

The sheriff’s office said deputies and a sergeant from the Belle Police Department tried to arrest Colin Maxey, 25, of Belle, who escaped by running into a wooded area.

Maxey has three active warrants out for his arrest including resisting arrest and possession of controlled substances.

Authorities did arrest his wife, Misty Maxey, 29, who was being sought on a felony probation violation. Deputies reportedly found drug paraphernalia inside the room the Maxeys were in. She’s being held in the Maries County Jail without bail.

The sheriff’s office is asking you to call your local law enforcement agency if you know of Colin Maxey’s location.
