Jefferson City daycare owner’s appeal denied

A court is upholding the conviction of a Jefferson City daycare owner Tuesday and denying her appeal.

Shelley Richter got five years in prison for endangering the welfare of a child. Back in 2010, she was accused of shaking a baby, leaving him brain damaged and blind.

Richter’s daughter, Abigail Connell, was facing charges for having drugs and multiple counts of endangering the welfare of a child in a home daycare back in August of this year.
