Rain Chance Tuesday

Scattered showers will return on Tuesday afternoon and evening where 0.25″ to 0.50″ looks likely for most of Mid-Missouri. Areas west of US 63 could see rain starting as early as 11AM closer to HWY 65, while central Mid-Missouri looks to see rain increase by 12PM-1PM. Closer to HWY 54 look for a time range near 1PM-3PM. Rain will end in the evening hours for HWY 65, while areas east could see light rain overnight into Wednesday morning through 7AM.

Instability will be lacking Tuesday, so severe weather is not expected. Perhaps a few rumbles thunder. It looks like there will be a window for moderate rain rates south of HWY 50 near the Ozarks and close to I-44 between 3PM-7PM. Because showers look to be tracking northeast quickly tomorrow, rainfall accumulations won’t be impressive, with most areas under 0.50″ with a few spots seeing upwards to 0.75″.
