Missing toddler found safe in Moberly

A woman and her 3-year-old son were found Sunday afternoon after she refused to return the boy following a family visit at McDonald’s Saturday afternoon, the Centralia Police Department said

Shannon Evans and her son, Noah Donati, were found in Moberly around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Chief Larry Dudgeon said police used cellphone technology to ping Evans’ location. She and her son were located during a traffic stop conducted by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Moberly Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

According to the Moberly Police Department, the 3-year-old is safe after being taken into protective custody and released into the care of the Randolph County Children’s Division until further arrangements can be made.

Dudgeon said the investigation is ongoing.
