Around the same time, ABC 17 News received reports of a police presence near the Kitty Hawk apartments, about a mile away from the intersection of Rangeline and Vandiver.
Police told ABC 17 News the call was for a suspicious vehicle and the driver had sped away when police attempted to stop it. Police initially thought the car could be related to the Rangeline/Vandiver incident but it turned out to be a couple kids driving around.
