Cooper County commissioner faces backlash over Facebook post
A Cooper County official was facing backlash Friday, after he allegedly made a racist Facebook post.
The group, “Cooper County Democrats,” posted the screenshot on their page. It read: “Democrats haven’t been this upset since Republicans took away their slaves.”
The group said Western District Commissioner David Booker made the post and went on to call it distasteful.
ABC 17 News sent messages to the commissioner and emailed the group who made the post, but have not yet received a response on the allegations.
