Mumps cases climb to 31 at Mizzou

The University of Missouri confirmed the cases of mumps had climbed yet again Wednesday.

University officials said there are now 31 cases and 27 other students who are showing symptoms. Just last week, the cases reached 17.

According to the University of Missouri Student Center, they are “working with local and state public health officials to identify other possible cases” to stop more from occurring.

The virus is spread through coughing and sneezing. Symptoms include fever, aches and swollen jaw.
