Columbia Public Works prepares for winter

On Wednesday, Columbia Public Works will practice a dry snow run training to prepare for winter.

The day will be spent with drivers reviewing safety procedures and snow routes, including trips to the salt dome.

The event will take place all over Columbia, so residents may see some snow plows throughout the day.

During the winter months, if Columbia receives more than 2 inches of snow Public Works will be enforce their snow routes. The routes will be labeled red and blue, and cars parked on those streets may be subject to towing.
