TODAY: After some morning fog in low areas this morning, we’ll look for mostly sunny skies with winds becoming southwesterly under 10 mph in the afternoon. Temperatures will be 10-15 degrees above normal today as high temperatures climb to the upper 60s.
TONIGHT: It looks mostly clear with light winds again. We’ll keep an eye on fog developing again late in low areas such as Jefferson City and the Lake of the Ozarks. We’ll have a light westerly wind tonight with temperatures in the mid 40s.
EXTENDED: Wednesday and Thursday remain exceptionally dry and warm with afternoon temperatures reaching into the lower 70s Wednesday and upper 70s Thursday. Thursday afternoon, winds will gust up to 35 mph with strongest winds west of HWY 63. Friday will bring a chance of rain and storms that could bring heavy rain. Rainfall amounts look to range from 0.25″ to 0.50″ east of US 63 and 0.10″ to 0.25″ for areas west. Over the weekend, it’s looking like temperatures will cool back down with highs in the upper 40s Saturday and Sunday. During the day Saturday expect a northwest breeze, with sustained winds of 10-20 mph. A wind chill is expected most of the day. A widespread hard freeze looks likely for areas along and north of I-70 on Sunday morning as temperatures drop into the 20s. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
