Columbia police investigate three robberies in 30 minutes
The Columbia Police Department is investigating three reported robberies in 30 minutes on Wednesday.
According to the department, officers responded to an armed robbery at 7:20 p.m. in the 2200 block of Paw Print Lane.
Officers said a woman reported she walking up to her home when she was approached by two black men with guns. The woman told police the men took her purse and ran away.
The woman was not hurt in the incident.
Police then responded at 7:36 p.m. to another armed robbery near the intersection of Clark Lane and Eastwood Drive.
The department said two men told officers they were walking when two black men with guns took their wallets and ran away.
Neither victim was hurt in the robbery.
Police were later dispatched to an attempted robbery at 7:44 p.m. in the 5300 block of Sapphire Court.
A woman told police she was hooking a trailer up to her vehicle when she was approached by two black men with guns. The woman said the suspects searched her for money but didn’t find anything and ran away.
According to police, they are searching for two black men, who are possibly armed with guns, in their 20s and wearing dark clothing.
