Monday Afternoon, November 7
TODAY: Temperatures across Mid-Missouri are finally beginning to feel like November. Expect clouds to continue to increase throughout the day with our high temperature reaching the upper 60s. Winds will be calm around 3-6 mph out of the south. There is a slight rain chance late morning after 9AM for southwest Mid-Missouri near Camden and Benton counties. The rain chance moves into Columbia and Jefferson City after 2PM and increases this evening and overnight. Rainfall amounts will be meager of .10″ to .30″ by Tuesday morning. Severe weather is not expected.
TONIGHT: It will be a mostly cloudy sky with light southerly winds under 8 mph with temperatures in the low 50s. Showers will likely be on going, while light, near I-70 and north.
EXTENDED: Our best chance for rain will be early Tuesday morning, but it will not be heavy or severe. The rain chance looks to end for Columbia by noon, with rain still likely for areas south of I-70 through 6PM as a cold front works its way south. Once the front moves through, dry and tranquil conditions looks to persist for much of the week. High temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 60s much of next week with nights cooling into the 40s. There is a chance mid week and over the weekend, nights may drop to the upper 30s.
