Near Record Warmth starting Friday
Near record warmth is in the forecast today. It will feel more like mid September this afternoon as southwest winds kick up. Gusty winds of 20-25 mph is possible this afternoon and Saturday. The forecast high for Friday is 80, while the record is 85. We’ll likely have a few areas in the low 80s south of I-70 this afternoon.
Winds shift on Sunday morning as a weak cold front moves, bringing a northwest wind and temperatures in the low 70 in the afternoon.
On Monday the southwest breeze picks back up with winds gusting to 20-25 mph during the day. Temperatures once again will warm in the low 80s. Record high for Monday is 87, set from 1950. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
