Friday morning, October 28

TODAY: Fog is possible this morning across the eastern Ozarks and closer to I-44. It will be a partly cloudy-mostly sunny day starting off in the low 50s this morning. We’ll warm quickly to 70 by noon with afternoon temperatures 10-12 degrees milder then what we’ve seen over the past 4 days. The breeze will pick up after 10AM with winds gusting to 20-25 mph in the afternoon. Due to warmer temperatures and gusty winds, outdoor burning should be avoided.

TONIGHT: It will stay mostly clear tonight with a southwest breeze still gusting at times through 11PM-midnight or so. Overnight winds should remain 5-10 mph. Due to winds overnight, temperatures will be very mild, only reaching the low 60s-nearly 20 degrees above normal.

EXTENDED: The warm, dry weather continues into Saturday with high temperatures near 80 under mostly sunny skies. It will be breezy with southerly winds gusting to 25 mph. Winds will shift to the north as a cold front moves through Sunday, cooling the high temperatures into the upper 60s north of I-70 to the lower 70s near I-70 and upper 70s in the Ozarks. After a brief cooling Sunday, temperatures climb to the low 80s Monday with gusty southerly winds. For Halloween night, temperatures will be mild in the upper 60s to lower 70s for trick or treating under a partly cloudy sky. Rain looks to hold off until next Tuesday night and Wednesday where areas along and north of I-70 look to have the better rain chance at this time.
