Cole County releases mobile web application

This month, Cole County launched “GoColeMo,” a mobile application that allows users easier access to its website.

The app is free to download and was included in the recent $40,000 overhaul of ColeCounty.org.

“It just gives a little bit better interface to be able to view and navigate our website,” said Cole County GIS manager Melissa Johnson. “More people have the mobile devices and are using them and we need to make it easier for them to get the information that they need quickly.”

Johnson said designers made use of analytics to find the most-used sections of Cole County website and give those sections a prominent place on the application structure.
