Trial for Boone County double homicide suspect set for next March
A trial date has been scheduled for the man accused of killing two men that were found dead on the side of the road northeast of Columbia last September.
The bodies of James W. Richardson, 41, of Columbia, and Kenneth B. Long, 42, of Mexico, Mo.were found along Mexico Gravel Road the morning of Sept. 19, 2015.
Darious Lucas, 25, was formally charged in May with first-degree murder and armed criminal action after an eight-month investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.
A jury trial for Lucas has been scheduled for Mar. 1, 2017 at 9 a.m.
