Kinder presents Veterans Service Award

Erik Anthes of Sturgeon received a Veterans Service Award Wednesday morning, presented by Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder.

The ceremony was held on the University of Missouri’s campus. Anthes is one of 34 winners of the award, which celebrates veterans who take part in volunteer work in their communities. Sen. Roy Blunt and State Rep. Caleb Rowden also attended.

Kinder said Anthes received the award because “his service to his fellow men did not end when he was discharged.”
