Tuesday Morning, October 25

TODAY: Look for a mostly clear sky closer to I-44 with mid level with clouds increasing this morning. Temperatures will be a tad better this morning than Monday, with a southeasterly wind and with increasing cloudiness throughout the day. Another comfortable today is in store with slightly above average temperatures for October 25, 5-7 degrees above normal reaching 70 this afternoon. Most locations will top out in the upper 60s and lower 70s by late afternoon as a warm front drifts northward. There is a slight t-storm chance as this warm front lifts during the day today. An isolated t-storm isn’t ruled out after 3PM, while storms are likely going to increase overnight.

TONIGHT: Most areas will be dry this evening under a mostly cloudy sky. Storms look to increase towards NW Mid-Missouri overnight and towards I-70 by daybreak. Temperatures will be slightly above normal overnight in the low 50s.

EXTENDED: There will be a limited severe threat on Wednesday we’ll need to keep an eye on. Two rounds of storms are possible. The first in the morning, increasing towards Columbia in the 7AM-9AM time frame. Storms could have brief heavy downpours. This will track southeast towards I-44 through 1PM-2PM. Depending on how much cloud cover there is tomorrow, a second round of storms looks possible from 5PM-8PM with the cold front passing. Rainfall amounts Wednesday look to bring .10″ to 0.25″ near I-70 with areas north closer to 0.50.” Dry weather returns Thursday. Another cold front arrives by Friday night. This could bring a slight rain chance to areas east of HWY 54 by Friday evening. Although, it looks warm during the day on Friday with high temperatures 15-20 degrees above normal topping 80! The upcoming weekend looks dry with plenty of sun and above average temperatures of 5-10 degrees in the low 70s Saturday and upper 60s Sunday.
